In this course you will learn to: 

• Utilise reliable information sources to support budgeting.
• Create accurate, realistic annual budgets and analyse sensitivity to change.
• Prepare cashflow forecasts and track expenses to support informed decision-making.
• Calculate and manage seasonal finance requirements.
• Gain practical financial management skills in a supportive, farmer focused environment.

Course details

Three in-person workshops held between milkings, or six online workshops, in daytime or evening. Small class sizes with limited numbers.

Qualification: Financial Budgeting for a Dairy Farming Business (15 NZQA Level 5 credits).

Course requirements

To be eligible for this course, you must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a New Zealand resident or work visa that allows you to study in New Zealand.

You will be required to complete an assessment to demonstrate your learning.

You must bring a laptop (ideally) or device to course days to access course materials, editable documents, and assessments.
